Next Generation Leaders DaySupporting and growing talent in the next generation of metalforming industry leaders, this division is dedicated to developing industry knowledge and leadership qualities for its members.

Next Gen Division activities are open to anyone from a PMA member company who is on a path of professional growth, a new or emerging leader, and will benefit from interaction with others in similar stages of leadership development.

Division members voted on the second-annual Next Gen Innovation Awards.  There was a roundtable session to discuss the winners and other division activities.  Next Gen attendees were also invited to attend the Awards of Excellence cocktail reception. Nonmembers were invited to participate!

Attendees had a chance to relax and meet peers at a networking dinner and social event Wednesday evening at Cincinnati's famous Montgomery Inn Boathouse and the Hofbrau Haus in Newport, KY. Thursday started out with roundtable discussions followed by lunch. The group then toured Feintool Cincinnati hosted by Rick Bachman, Key Account Manager, Feintool Cincinnati.

This year's annual meeting was special for Next Generation Leaders for several reasons. The meeting was held November 9-11, 2006, in Puerto Rico.

There was a reduced price for Next Gen Leaders, a special ribbon on the name badges, a roundtable session called Next Generation Leadership--Assuring a Sustainable Future, in Good Times and Bad, led by Leslie Yerkes, one of thefeatured speakers at the Saturday Assembly Session and there was a special event just for Next Gen Leaders on Friday evening - the "Next Gen 500" miniature Formula-1 go-karts race!

September 12-13, 2006: PMA's first-ever Next Generation fly-in to Washington, D.C.

The group's meeting was in September 2006, in Washington, D.C., where the group lobbied legislators on pressing manufacturing issues such as association health plans (AHPs), currency manipulation, manufacturing extension partnerships (MEPs) and the death tax.
