Basic Skills Training for Metalforming and Metal Fabrication

PMA Educational Foundation presents the Metalforming Level 1 Curriculum. The curriculum is a turn-key 65-hour basic skills learning system designed by industry experts and based on national skill standards. This one-stop "curriculum-in-a-box" can be used as a stand alone program in a school or plant setting or can be administered as part of an apprenticeship, new-hire or current employee development system with structured on-the-job training. Successful completers attain recognition from the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS).

The Metalforming Level I Curriculum consists of  9 modules. Each module has one or two lessons. There are 13 competency-based lessons. No actual operation of equipment is required. Instructors need not be professional teachers but should be familiar with metalforming processes and equipment.
