Skill standards are descriptions of work to specified levels of performance. They describe in detail the tasks a worker must be able to perform and the skills and knowledge needed to set up and operate metalforming equipment. There are many NIMS metalforming standards available through the PMA Educational Foundation. They include Metalforming Level I, the basic standard underlying each of the specific process standards, Metal Stamping Levels II & III, Metal Spinning Level II, Roll Forming Level II, and Press Brake Levels II & III. Standards for Laser Cutting and CNC/NC Punch Press are in the final stage of validation. To order your copies of the standards click here. |
