Welcome

Dear PMA and NTMA Members,

We’re excited to announce the first joint NTMA Fall Conference and PMA Annual Meeting, being held at the Amelia Island Plantation, Amelia Island, Florida.

We’ve planned carefully for both joint and separate events.  Combined events are the Welcoming Reception, Chair’s Theme Dinner, Assembly Sessions, Roundtables, Spouse Event and activities such as the Bill Fitzwater Memorial Golf Outing.  Member-only events will include NTMA Team Meetings and the PMA Business Meeting and Annual Banquet.  This gives everyone opportunities to meet and mix with new people while allowing time to catch up with old friends.

With everyone’s mind still on the world economy, U.S. political missteps and finding ways to strengthen our businesses, this year’s program of speakers and roundtables should be especially valuable.  Russ’s theme of Building Bridges reminds us all that we can invigorate our businesses by connecting with others - other business leaders, companies, educators and students, customers.  Gretchen’s theme, the Morality of Manufacturing, addresses our role in the world and the harm done by altruistic policies that favor need over justice.  We hope to challenge your thinking and give you tools to grow your companies.
