Carla and I hope to see you at the PMA 2008 Annual Meeting, scheduled for November 6-8, at the Westin Grand Bahama Island Our Lucaya Resort. The Annual Meeting is the perfect place to network with your peers and learn important industry information from keynote speakers and member roundtable facilitators. It’s also the perfect excuse to take advantage of some much-needed and well-deserved R&R!
In keeping with my theme, “Prospering in a Global Market,” we will feature an exciting program of assembly sessions and roundtable discussions. This year, we are proud to host two well known and respected speakers, Professor Peter Navarro, author of The Coming China Wars, and Dr. Jack Bacon, author of The Parallel Bang. In addition to their scheduled speaking appearances, Prof. Navarro and Dr. Bacon also will participate in the roundtable discussions – allowing members to interact with them on a more personal basis. A total of 13 roundtable topics will be offered on a wide variety of subjects including a newly developed roundtable on PMA business issues and special roundtables specifically for Women in Metalforming and Next Generation Leaders.
Exciting social events also are planned to encourage and promote your networking experience. You will become a survivor of the ship-wrecked S.S. Minnow at the Castaways Theme Party. The Annual Golf Outing is always a highlight of the meeting, and a special night is planned for the Next Generation Leaders. The black-tie Annual Banquet will conclude the meeting with style and distinction. My family and I are looking forward to seeing you at the 2008 PMA Annual Meeting at the Westin Grand Bahama Island Our Lucaya Resort. Just 55 miles south of Florida, the resort sits on 7.5 acres of sandy beach. Come see the pristine beaches and turquoise ocean of the Bahamas for yourself. It truly is a beautiful place!
